International Women's Day is a global celebration held on the 8th March each year recognising women’s contributions and achievements.
Ballarat Neighbourhood Centre celebrates IWD by inviting local women from all walks of life to share their stories at a morning tea, afternoon tea or lunch.
Whilst their backgrounds and stories are all different, these women are all strong, resilient, and determined to rebuild their lives with their families in Ballarat, often from great adversity.
We are inspired every year by these women, their stories, their journeys, and the challenges they overcame when travelling from overseas countries or from just around the corner.
